and aside from being the topic of "controversy" and "outrage," has now become suspect in a lawsuit filed by famed photographer David LaChapelle.According to LaChapelle, the Rihanna camp shanghaied, or as put by the plaintiff party, "directly derived" concepts from a collection of eight photos taken by the aforementioned LaChapelle. More specifically, the lawsuit states that the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting of his work" were all unlawfully copied for the video.
The only thing I really know about this LaChapelle fellow is when he cameoed on Ondi Timoner's Rockumentary Dig! to shoot the video for The Dandy Warhols' song "Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth," and if I recall correctly, he was a huge doucher throughout his little flicker on the scene.
