New Fall looks
net-a-porter
I hate to be posting all this winter stuff when temperatures are around 25 degrees outside, but I can't help myself, it's too pretty. The things I love about summer are definitely the flowy fabrics and healthy sunkissed skin, but what is amazing about winter really is the endless layering possibilties...

Bottega Veneta pants and boots

Louis Vuitton FW10 ad campaign

Although I loved the concept of the return to the big busts, I wasn't really feeling the Louis Vuitton fashion show. But that is now totally compensated by the ad campaign. How GORGEOUS! Steven Meisel shot models Christy Turlington, Natalia Vordinova and Karen Elson in an oldfashioned Hollywood dressing room and created perfect fifties flair. How gorgeous. I also find the bags remarkable, that are all beautiful reinventions of Vuitton's favorite classics. Reinventing, says Marc Jacobs, is the house's strength. I agree.
The Gucci Effect

I have never been a Gucci fan, but I really like Frida Giannini's fall 2010 collection. The polished sexy glamour that is so typical for the house of Gucci (and that I don't care for too much) still shone through, but was softened by actual classic, sophisticated pieces and fabrics, like the camel. Net-a-porter (who will for the first time carry Gucci) did of course a lovely photoshoot, picking out the collection's best features.
