Pull your hair into a high ponytail, put on some vintage clip-on earrings and paint your lips red. Fifties beauty for Spring 2011.

Fishtails

I'm not really into Paris Hilton's style but I really like her hair in this picture. Remember the post I did on fishtail braids? I still don't have the skill (or patience) to do it properly myself, but it looks good. Her bag is Phillip Lim.

Emma Watson's new 'do.

“Dear all. Cut my hair off a few days ago… Feels incredible. I love it. I’ve wanted to do this for years and years; it’s the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like. Big love from Emma x.”

No way. Chopping off hair like hers should be a freaking crime. She definitely has a face that can handle such short hair, but what a terrible loss of that beautiful, beautiful hair! If you want a change though (sometimes you do get sick of your same old 'do), I suppose cutting it off is a healthier option than for instance dying it. I have no issues with short hair and some girls can rock it (I really liked Rihanna's hair in her Take a Bow video), but I'd rather die than putting the scissors in my long locks.

I once cut my hair short and regretted it immediately. It was a slow process growing it back, and I promised myself, never again. I'm going to stick to that until I'm fifty years old, but I've got to say, this looks good. These are my two favorite styles: Scarlett messy and with volume, Abbey silky with her signature bangs. If I wasn't such a chicken I'd get this cut right this second, but oh well. To the more daring among us: don't hesitate!

When I was little I once saw an Elle editorial of hairdos with Hermès scarves and I have loved this look ever since.
